DIY: Bridal Bouquet

While we're all knee deep in wedding season, we know how expensive all those little costs can add up to. In an effort to save money (to buy more flip-flops, of course), we're going to show you how to avoid the expensive florist and build your own dream bouquet! The steps are actually very simple, and you don't need too many tools!

Supplies:
- Flowers of your choice
- Floral Tape
- Ribbon of your choice
- Pliers
- Pins
- Wire

Directions:

Choose the flowers of your choice for your bridal bouquet. Purchase the flowers the day of or evening before you want to make the bouquet, as fresh flowers have a short lifetime and are extremely fragile. Try creating a test bouquet before you make the real thing, and remember, some greenery is nice to add to your bouquet!

Separate the different types of flowers you have, if you want some grouped together, you can tape smaller stems with the floral tape.

Arrange your bouquet exactly how you want it to look. Make sure you look at it from all angles. Once your bouquet looks perfect, wrap the entire area of the stems with your floral tape. Wrap it nice and tight so none of your flowers move!

Mimic the wrapping you made with your floral tape with the ribbon you chose. Start from the bottom and wrap to the top.

Once your bouquet is wrapped with ribbon to your liking, secure the ribbon with your pins. Use 4-5 pins, just in case. Make sure they're really in there, but don't poke yourself!

If you would like a bow on your bouquet, take the ribbon you used to wrap your bouquet and tie a pretty bow. Secure the bow by wrapping it with green craft wire. Wrap the wire around the bouquet so it is in a secure place.

Tighten the wire with pliers.

Make sure everything is in the perfect place and is tight & secure. Once you are satisfied, keep your bouquet in water and a refrigerator until it is time to walk down the aisle!
